APRIL 13 & 14 (Fri-Sat), 2018 IN OAK PARK
Celebrate Buddha's Enlightenment day with one of our most blessed practices, known as Nyungnay. This yearly event is a blissful method for purifying your mind. Done in conjunction with Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara practice, Nyungnay is very powerful for purifying negative karma of body, speech, and mind, and for pacifying strong delusions such as desirous attachment and hatred.
The practice consists of taking the eight Mahayana precepts, engaging in three sessions of prostration and prayer, and meditating extensively on compassion. The blessings we receive from this practice are immensely powerful, giving us the fuel we need to continue along the spiritual path.
In order to participate in either day, you must take that morning’s precepts. You may engage in one or two days of the practice.
