Avalokiteshvara Empowerment Banner

At this special event in Wicker Park, Gen Kelsang Dorje will grant the empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion. The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation that awakens our potential for universal love and compassion. The benefits of receiving this empowerment are immeasurable. Through the special blessings of Avalokiteshvara, we will experience a peaceful mind all the time. Because of this we will be happy all the time, thus fulfilling our deepest wish for permanent happiness and freedom from suffering.

Gen Dorje will also teach on how we can bring great benefit to ourselves and others by developing our compassion--the beautiful mind that wishes to protect all living beings from suffering. Through the practice of Powa we can fulfill our compassionate wish, by engaging in transference of consciousness to the Pure Land of a Buddha, either for ourselves or other living beings. This practice is very simple but has great meaning, and the Empowerment is a perfect opportunity to receive commentary to it. Everyone is welcome at this wonderful event!
