Spring has finally arrived! In addition to our regularly scheduled Prayers for World Peace and General Program classes in Oak Park, Lakeview, and Beverly, this month brings more special classes and retreats. Through this special purification of Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara we can awaken and strengthen our compassion and develop greater closeness with others. The day begins with Mahayana precepts at 6:30am (required to participate in retreat), includes two sessions of practicing prostration and making praises and requests, and ends with Offering to the Spiritual Guide with tsog at 1pm.  $5 per session / $15 whole day

This short meditation retreat provides an opportunity to take a break from our busy activities and leave behind stress and concerns. Discover the power of simple meditation practices and return home refreshed and inspired. A vegetarian lunch will be provided.  $5 per session / $10 whole day

The two essential practices of the New Kadampa Tradition are a special Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa and reliance upon our Dharma Protector. Through following the commentary to the text, Heart Jewel, and putting these instructions into practice, we can make our human life meaningful. All are welcome. Another class in this series will be offered in May.   $10 per class
