Welcome to Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago! At our two locations in Oak Park and the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, we share meditation and Buddhist teachings with the goal of helping everyone of all backgrounds become happier and more peaceful. Everyone is welcome!

What Should I Start With?

Most of our classes are open to everyone, and are suitable for all levels of experience. Some classes that are especially suited to beginners and those new to our center include:

Just Breathe Mondays, 6:30pm - 7pm in Wicker Park
Mindfulness for Modern Life Wednesdays, 7pm - 8:30pm in Wicker Park
Mindfulness for Modern Life Thursdays, 7pm - 8:30pm in Oak Park
Special Workshops on select Saturdays in Oak Park and Wicker Park

Are there other classes I can try?

Yes! We offer number of different classes and workshops. Most of our classes are drop-in classes, meaning:

• open to everyone
• suitable for all levels of experience
• no registration required
• no need to have attended any previous classes
• attend any drop-in class any time

All of our workshops are also open to everyone. Any class that requires advance arrangements will clearly note that it's not a drop-in class. You can explore our full schedule of classes by day, classes by location, and workshops.

Do you offer any programs for studying Buddhism?

For those who want to go deeper with their practice, our classes and workshops are organized into three levels of study.
