SATURDAY, APRIL 6
IN OAK PARK

To celebrate "New Kadampa Tradition Day" we are holding this very special day of events, featuring a workshop and a presentation on the International Temples Project. You are welcome to attend both parts, or either one.

WORKSHOP:
HOW TO RELY UPON A SPIRITUAL GUIDE
the supreme spiritual guide
Relying upon a qualified spiritual guide is the very heart of the Buddhist path, the root of all our spiritual attainments. In our daily life we rely expert advice. Following the spiritual path is no different. We need to learn how to follow a spiritual guide sincerely and with strong faith, putting their instructions into practice correctly so that we can achieve the same results. It is through our faithful reliance that our spiritual practice progresses swiftly, easily, and without hardship towards our final goal: the supreme joy and protection of full enlightenment for ourself and others.

PRESENTATION:
A VISION OF PEACE FOR CHICAGO
a temple in every city
Venerable Geshe-la's vision is for a traditional Temple or modern City Temple offering courses in modern Kadampa Buddhism to appear in every city in the world. Come learn more about this project in general and Ven Geshe-la's vision for Chicago with the River North project in particular. This presentation will follow the morning workshop.
