Help DAVID MURPHY

benefit Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago

Hello, I am the director of a non-profit organization in the Oak Park community. It has been almost 5 years since I first visited KMC - Chicago. I had recently fractured my spine and was suffering from depression and my doctor suggested that I try meditation as a form a therapy. I started meditating on my own but I quickly wanted to learn from people who had more experience than I. That's when I found our Kadampa Buddhist Center - right under my nose (I had been driving past almost daily it for 5 years!). The resident teacher and all of the members that I met were warm and welcoming. They helped me to improve my meditation practice and I started to gain some insights into Buddha's teachings (The Dharma). In the process, I discovered within me something amazing - inner peace. I am deeply grateful for the benefits of meditation and Dharma realizations, as well as the closeness of the friends I have made by participating with KMC - Chicago. I encourage everyone to visit us sometime and I hope that you will consider making a much needed donation to help us tackle our building improvements. In doing so, you are helping to making the world a more kind, compassionate and peaceful place.

You can choose any donation amount, and even add a brief message if you like.

Just what updates and repairs do we need to make? And what does a soggy meditator look like? Watch this short video to find out!
