AUGUST 19 IN OAK PARK
Buddha taught that happiness comes from inner peace, yet a peaceful mind does not come readily. It takes practice, both in meditation and in our daily activities. The Stages of the Path to Enlightenment, or Lamrim in Tibetan, is a series of 21 practical and powerful meditations that are the essence of all Buddha's teachings. By following in this path, we can overcome our burden of negativity and cultivate positive states of mind. In this way we can enjoy our life and make it truly meaningful each day.
Join us in this workshop for an introduction to Lamrim, the very heart of Kadampa Buddism, and learn how this practice is a step-by-step guide to finding your way "home" to the natural state of happiness and wisdom within.
A guided Lamrim retreat follows this workshop, August 19 - 23.
