Meet at Arvey Field
(scroll down for directions & details)
Everyone wishes for world peace, but in order to achieve this, we must first develop our own inner peace. Help us fulfill this wish by supporting our Walk for World Peace, a very special fundraiser benefiting Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago! We will meet in Grant Park and engage in a group guided meditation, followed by a beautiful walk down Chicago's lakefront, and end with a lovely community picnic in Grant Park.
Ways to Participate in the Walk:
1. Register to Walk & Fundraise
Solicit donations and raise $50 or more to join us on our lakefront walk, plus get a free KMC Chicago bag!
2. Register to Fundraise
Even if you don't take part in the walk itself, you can still set up a personal page and solicit donations to support the event!
3. Register to Walk Unsponsored
Take part in the walk for a $30 donation.
Ways to Donate to the Fundraiser:
1. Sponsor a Walker
Donate to a specific walker.
2. Make a Donation
Contribute to the event as a whole.
At Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago, we serve the people of Chicagoland through providing a place of refuge, calm, and community. This fundraiser helps support our grassroots efforts to bring benefit and happiness to every living being. KMC Chicago receives no outside funding, so we thank you for your generosity in helping Dharma to flourish!

Getting There & Event Details
We will meet in Arvey Field in south Grant Park. See maps and links below.
We highly suggest taking public transit, as Arvey Field is only a 1/2 mile walk from the Roosevelt CTA Station (Red, Green, and Orange lines). You can also easily transfer to any of these lines in the loop.
If you must drive, we recommend:
1. LAZ Parking Garage at 1212 S. Michigan. It’s $8 for 4 hours, and is a 1/2-mile walk from Arvey Field.
2. Using a site like ParkWhiz or SpotHero to find a cheap, nearby spot you can reserve.
We will provide blankets to sit on for the dinner and the meditation. Please bring a chair if you would like (you can leave the chair at the meeting spot while we walk, someone will stay behind to watch everything).
