We've been working with an architect to draw up the plans (blueprints) for our new River North Space. This is the stage when we have to think very carefully about how the new space will be used. The meditation room is pretty straightforward, and it's easy to see how that needs to be laid out. But what sort of flow do we want getting in and out of the meditation room? How welcome might first-timers feel if we put the reception desk in one place instead of another? Where will people stash their shoes, winter boots, coats, and other essential Chicago winter survival gear?
It's too early to reveal the full plans, since they're still going through changes. But here's a quick little peek at the blueprints that are taking shape.
