Develop your pure love, empathy, and happiness

Escape to a weekend of peace and quiet on the scenic shores of Lake Michigan near Racine, Wisconsin. Over the course of the retreat, we will observe morning silence to enhance our meditation experience, and during the meditation sessions we will be guided skillfully in clear and joyful meditations to develop a naturally concentrated and peaceful mind. In the breaks, explore the natural beauty of the Retreat Center and treat yourself to personal time for rest and contemplation.

In particular, we will be practicing the immensely joyful and powerful meditations called "The Four Immeasurables," which quickly and easily develop your pure love, empathy, and happiness. We will also focus on techniques to overcome distractions and enhance focus and concentration, both in and out of meditation. Gaining authentic experience of these meditations in retreat will make your mind balanced, happy, and strong, and enrich the overall quality of your daily life. Ultimately these meditations lead to the unsurpassed happiness of liberation and enlightenment.

This retreat is suitable for all levels -- from complete beginners to advanced students -- and will be led by Gen Kelsang Zamling, the principal meditation teacher of KMC Chicago. With over 20 years of experience, his guidance in retreat is always very clear, supportive, and practical. Everyone is invited to this very special, meaningful weekend!
