In May, the Tuesday evening Wicker Park class is exploring the topic "The Healing Power of Meditation."
Love and compassion are the most powerful forces of healing. Explore the profound and blissful breathing meditation called "Taking and Giving," which has been practiced by generations of meditators for profound healing of body and mind. This meditation enhances our concentration, empathy, and wisdom, and awakens our spiritual potential quickly. Its benefits are limitless! Each week we will learn and practice an aspect of this precious meditation, which you can do at home anytime.
No previous experience is necessary; each class will contain practical instruction and guided meditation. Everyone is welcome!

Letting Go with Wisdom
In June, the Tuesday evening Wicker Park class will explore the topic "Letting Go with Wisdom."
Of all Buddha’s teachings, none are more profound and transformative than the teachings on emptiness, the true nature of reality. In this series, we'll examine how we normally relate to our self and the world, and discover how the wisdom of emptiness gives us tremendous freedom and limitless possibility. With an understanding of emptiness, we can let go of our painful self and painful world and create space for a better self and world to appear in their place.
Everyone is welcome -- whether you’re brand new to meditation or an experienced practitioner. Each class includes clear and practical instructions, two guided meditations, plus an opportunity to ask questions.
These classes will refer to the following book(s). It's not necessary to have your own copy, but some people like follow along or read more after the class.
