Prayers of Compassion for World Peace

Now more than ever, our world needs authentic kindness, empathy, and compassion. To celebrate the New Year, we will enjoy a traditional Buddhist prayer which develops our own compassion and enables us to establish a more compassionate and caring society. All are very welcome to attend.

7pm - 8pm: Inspired, Confident, and Calm: A Special Talk & Meditation for 2021

(and available to watch for 72 hours after. Just register by 7:30pm on 12/31, and shortly after the live stream ends you'll receive a link to watch it any time for 72 hours)

8:15pm and later: Prayers of Compassion for World Peace

(available starting at 8:15pm, and remaining up for 72 hours after)

If you start the prayers between 11:40pm - 11:45pm, you will be reciting the mantra of compassion at the stroke of midnight.

TEACHER

Gen Kelsang Zamling is a modern Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher for KMC Chicago. Having studied, practiced, and taught Buddhist meditation for many years, he is adept at guiding both new and experienced meditators with warmth and clarity.
