In-person classes return to Wicker Park on Sunday mornings! In April, this class will explore the topic "Meditations for Healing Oneself & Others."

Love and compassion are the most powerful forces of healing.  Explore the profound and blissful breathing meditation called "Taking and Giving," which has been practiced by generations of meditators for profound healing of body and mind.  This meditation enhances our concentration, empathy, and wisdom, and awakens our spiritual potential quickly.  Its benefits are limitless!  Each week we will learn and practice an aspect of this precious meditation, which you can do at home anytime.

No previous experience is necessary; each class will contain practical instruction and guided meditation.  Everyone is welcome!

Coming in May:

The Science of Happiness

Join us for a deep dive into Buddhism’s scientific and practical approach to happiness. In this month’s series, we’ll explore questions like...

  • Why is it so hard to find happiness?

  • What is real happiness & where does it come from?

  • What does meditation have to do with happiness?

  • How am I standing in the way of my own happiness?

  • What steps can I take to improve my happiness now?

Everyone is welcome -- whether you’re brand new to meditation or an experienced practitioner. Each class includes clear and practical instructions, two guided meditations, plus an opportunity to ask questions.
