Details

The Three Wishfulfilling Jewels of Buddhism are Buddha, Dharma (Buddha's teachings), and Sangha (the spiritual community). By relying upon the Three Jewels with strong faith, we are protected from outer dangers, inner fears, and delusions, and we establish the path to authentic spiritual realizations that lead to the unsurpassed happiness of liberation and enlightenment. This in-depth retreat will begin with an introduction on Friday night followed by a guided session Saturday morning. The remainder of the sessions on Saturday and Sunday are self-guided.

Important for newcomers: This is an in-depth retreat which assumes fundamental understanding of Mahayana Buddhist practice, but it is open to anyone, regardless of previous experience. Since the majority of the retreat is unguided, it is strongly recommended that newcomers attend both the Friday introduction and the Saturday morning (9:00am) guided session, as these sessions will be the only opportunity to receive guidance and ask questions during the weekend.

This retreat will be based upon the books Joyful Path of Good Fortune and Modern Buddhism, and will use the traditional prayers "Essence of Good Fortune." See below for details, and for info about purchasing copies.
