Live-Stream Retreat

Details

For centuries, Buddhist practitioners have relied upon the Buddha of Purification, Vajrasattva, and recited his mantra sincerely in order to purify negative karma, spiritual obstacles, and negativities preventing our spiritual growth. Through repeated purification practice, we can swiftly accomplish profound and authentic spiritual realizations that lead directly to the unsurpassed happiness of liberation and enlightenment.

This in-depth retreat offers an ideal opportunity to engage in these same practices from the comfort of your home.  Although open to anyone, this retreat assumes participants already possess a fundamental understanding of the principals of Buddhist refuge and karma.  The Saturday morning introduction session is strongly encouraged for students new to this type of retreat.

We will use the formal Kadampa Buddhist preparatory prayers Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land and the book Oral Instructions of Mahamudra as our meditation guides. Both are available for curbside pickup from our bookstore in Oak Park (print only), or for delivery from tharpa.com (e-book or print - see below for links).
