Week 1: The Heart Practice - Dorje Shugden Empowerment and Teachings on Lamrim. With Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT.

Week 2: Awakening our Buddha Nature - Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerments of Heruka and Vajrayogini. With Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT.

The International Festivals

Every year the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) organizes three International Festivals taught by senior Teachers. These Festivals provide a precious opportunity to study and practice the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of the NKT-IKBU.

The Festivals consist of teachings, empowerments, and meditations, and finish with short retreats. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of experience. They also provide an opportunity to meet and practice with like-minded people from all over the world. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energized.

Chicago Viewing Party

KMC Chicago is coordinating a Festival viewing party at our Oak Park center. Enjoy the festival teachings, meditations, and empowerments in a peaceful space, while in the spiritually invigorating company of others. Our viewing party will follow the festival schedule for the Central Time Zone (see the Summer Festival website for details). Festival registration is required, but there's no additional cost to take part in our viewing party. Be sure to register at the Festival website, and then RSVP for our watch party. Proof of festival registration is required in order to RSVP.
