The International Summer Festival 2022 will be held at Manjushri KMC in the UK, July 29- August 13.

In Week 1, Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, retired General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni and give teachings on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche's extraordinary book, Clear Light of Bliss.

In Week 2, Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will give further teachings on Clear Light of Bliss.

Clear Light of Bliss is a remarkable book that explains with exceptional clarity how through training in Mahamudra practices we can transform our very subtle mind into the clear light of bliss, the actual quick path to enlightenment. It is a unique book the likes of which cannot be found anywhere, even amongst traditional Buddhist scriptures. It includes the uncommon Mahamudra instructions that come from Je Tsongkhapa, with an additional explanation of other practices such as tummo meditation, which was Milarepa’s main practice. As Venerable Geshe-la himself says, 'For me this book is a Ganden Emanation Scripture.'

About the International Festivals

Every year the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) organizes three International Festivals taught by senior Teachers. These Festivals provide a precious opportunity to study and practice the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of the NKT-IKBU.

The Festivals consist of teachings, empowerments, and meditations, and finish with short retreats. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of experience. They also provide an opportunity to meet and practice with like-minded people from all over the world. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energized.
