Introduction to Foundation Program (Wicker Park)

You are invited to attend this free introduction to Foundation Program on Tuesday, September 2 and/or 9, 7-9 pm.

Foundation Program (FP) is an enrollment-based class that emphasizes gaining a deeper understanding and experience of Buddhism through systematic and guided study, meditation, and discussion. We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings, 7-9 pm (with breaks throughout the year); each Tuesday session includes guided meditation, chanted prayers, teachings, and discussion.

We will be starting the book The New Heart of Wisdom: Profound Teachings from Buddha's Heart, which reveals the profound meaning of the very heart of Buddha's teachings -- The Perfection of Wisdom Sutras. We will learn:

• The profound relationship between your mind and your world

• A special method for overcoming difficulties in daily life

• How to remove obstacles to realizing your full potential

• How to enjoy pure lasting happiness through special wisdom

No previous experience is necessary. Although attendance at this sample class is free, we ask you to RSVP below. We welcome you to meet our wonderful FP student community!
