Details

The Midwest Dharma Celebration is a regional Buddhist meditation festival that brings together the sangha community from across the Midwest to immerse in transformative teachings, deep meditation, and meaningful connections. This annual event is organized by Kadampa meditation centers and branches in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

Gen Kelsang Demo, Midwestern US National Spiritual Director, will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Green Tara, a female Buddha who is the embodiment of the fearless wisdom of all enlightened beings, and who moves more swiftly than the wind to help anyone who is suffering and anxious.

The weekend will also include guided meditations, instructions on how to receive Green Tara’s enlightened care and blessings in daily life, and an explanation of the Liberation from Sorrow sadhana and how to overcome the 8 inner and outer fears. Through these teachings, we learn to rely on the swift power of Tara in our busy modern lives.

Complete details and registration are on the MIDWEST DHARMA CELEBRATION WEBSITE
