Perhaps we may think, “my mind is too busy or my life is too full, I can’t meditate.” The joy of meditation comes when we let go of our limited self and begin to just focus our minds in a limitless way.
During this afternoon retreat, Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Chokyi will share methods to overcome the turbulence of our minds so that we can connect more deeply with the stillness, happiness and contentment that is naturally abiding within us. The focus of this retreat will be on the mind of love and how it is the great protector. With mindfulness and alertness, we can gain familiarity of this precious mind and experience the joy of meditation!
“When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within.” — Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
