• The Liberating Prayer: Silent In-Depth Retreat
"The Liberating Prayer" is a profound meditation on the nature of enlightenment that invites us to follow in the spiritual footsteps of Buddha.
Time & Location
Jun 17, 2023, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Wicker Park, 2010 W Pierce Ave, Chicago, IL 60622, USA
The Liberating Prayer is a profound meditation on the nature of enlightenment that invites us to follow in the spiritual footsteps of Buddha. By reflecting on the meaning of this prayer again and again, we gradually awaken our own enlightened love, compassion, wisdom, and joy, and we develop the capacity to deeply help others.
Gen Zamling will explain the meaning of The Liberating Prayer according to special teachings given at the recent International Spring Festival (in England), and will guide us in practical and effective meditations to gain deep experience of the profound nature of this blessed prayer. We will observe silence during the breaks to enhance our experience of the meditations.
Although this is an in-depth retreat, absolutely everyone is welcome to attend.
Following the retreat, everyone is invited to a social dinner in the neighborhood (optional).
2:00 - 3:00pm: Teaching and Meditation Session 1
