Details
We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this and usually we avoid thinking about it at all!
Come learn to cultivate a constructive attitude toward your own mortality. In this way you will be liberated from many of your daily problems and gain an understanding of how to prepare both for your own death and the death of your loved ones.
During this retreat, we will explore some of Buddha’s clear and profound teachings on the death process, how to use this wisdom to help those who are dying, and how to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life ourselves.
The first three sessions will include practical instruction, guided meditation, and time for questions. The final session will provide a special opportunity to participate in traditional prayers and meditation for the dying, Powa Ceremony. Â
No previous experience is necessary; open to anyone, regardless of background or experience.
