Walk for World Peace

Join us for a day of fun and fundraising for world peace!

We will gather at Oz Park, engage in a meditation together, take a walk around the beautiful park, and end with a picnic!

Our goal for this fundraiser is to raise

$30,000

All funds raised will support KMC Chicago's efforts to help people in Chicagoland develop peaceful minds. By increasing our own inner peace, we can bring about world peace. As our founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (Geshe-la) says,

“Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible.”

A donation of any size contributes to KMC Chicago's dedication to World Peace and brings us closer to our goal. With your help we can give people in Chicagoland access to ways of developing inner peace through learning Buddha’s teachings.

This is our form of public service.

GoFundMe

Support is all around you

You might be surprised by how much support you'll find all around you from your friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers. Just let them know that you’re raising money to help people find peace and have better lives -- now and in the future.

Share personal examples

It can be heartwarming to see the generosity people exhibit when you share sincere and inspiring stories of your own experience meditating and putting Dharma into practice. There's a good chance your friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers have already noticed positive changes -- and they'll be eager to support the cause of that change.

It's good karma for them

Supporting Dharma, its centers, and its practitioners is good karma -- which creates positive experiences in the future. When you offer people the chance to donate to this fundraiser, you can do so out of love and compassion because you're giving them the opportunity to create good karma for themselves.
