• Become Your Own Protector: Buddhist Refuge Retreat

We all seek protection in something. Buddhists seek ultimate refuge in the Three Jewels: Buddha, the omniscient doctor; Sangha, the kind spiritual nurses; and Dharma, the actual medicine that cures our mental pain. Learn how to engage in the practice of Buddhist refuge both in retreat and in your daily life. 

This annual, in-depth retreat will begin Saturday morning with an introductory talk and one guided retreat session with Gen Zamling, followed by several self-guided retreat sessions on Saturday and Sunday based upon the instructions given Saturday morning.

Although this is an in-depth retreat, anyone with a sincere interest is welcome to attend.

11:00 - 12:30pm: Retreat Session 1 (Guided)

12:30 - 1:30pm: (Bring Your Own) Lunch Break

1:30 - 3:00pm: Retreat Session 2 (Unguided)

3:30 - 5:00pm:  Retreat Session 3 (Unguided)

Sunday, March 5

4:15 - 5:45pm: Retreat Session 1 (Unguided)

6:15 - 7:45pm: Retreat Session 2 (Unguided)

This retreat will use the following books and sadhana (prayer booklet). It's not necessary to have a copy of the books, but some people find it helpful.
