Time & Location

Oct 01, 2022, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM CDT

Wicker Park, 2010 W Pierce Ave, Chicago, IL 60622, USA

Details

We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this and usually we avoid thinking about it at all!  However, cultivating a constructive attitude toward our mortality will liberate us from many of our daily problems as well as giving us an understanding of how to prepare both for our own death and the death of our loved ones.  During this event, we will explore some of Buddha’s clear and profound teachings on the death process, how to use this wisdom to help those who are dying, and how to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life ourself.  Following the workshop, we are offering a special opportunity to participate in prayers for the dying, Powa Ceremony.  Open to anyone, regardless of background or experience.
